With more than 15 years of experience across local government and private industry, Jade Mcilwain is a Building Surveyor Unrestricted (Council) and Registered Building Inspector, Jade is renowned for his technical expertise and attention to detail. Jade’s depth of knowledge in BCA compliance and accessing consulting makes him a sought-after expert for complex projects.
Jade’s career started as a Builder, completing his trade as a carpenter in Inverell and transitioning into local government which equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of all construction methods, statutory frameworks, planning legislation, and the practical application of building regulations. As a Council certifier, Jade gained extensive experience assessing diverse project types and ensuring developments met compliance standards.
In the private sector, Jade has built on this foundation, offering a highly analytical and methodical approach to all consultancy & BCA Reporting. Jade specialises in in-depth Building Code of Australia (BCA) Assessments, Access Reports, and Fire Safety upgrade Reports.
